Model Muse: Bambi Northwood-Blyth

Bambi Northwood-Blyth, aged 21, is a model from Sydney,
Australia.

She was born Stefani Northwood, but later changed her name as she thought that Bambi represented her personality better, and she had always been commented on for her cute, doll face.

Her popularity has been rapidly increasing in the past couple of years, due to her individuality and unique look. She has those trademark eyebrows, which helped garner attention for the likes of Emma Watson and Cara Delevingne.

Bambi is a hit with high fashion magazine Harpers Bazaar, and has also shot for the likes of Russh, Vogue Japan, Armani Jeans , Marc Jacobs AND Nasty Gal. Yep.

The beauty isn't limited to just editorial though, as she has also hit the catwalk for: Chanel,Balenciaga, Kanye West and Topshop Unique!

I love Bambi because she has that messy, rough around the edges kind of look, like the type of girl you'd always find downtown or at the beach.

She is part of a generation of new, slightly grungy models that are set to take over and change the face of the industry.

If you're self esteem just took a pretty low dip after looking at these pictures, don't worry! Because ours did too. Big time.

We love Bambi!

Model Muse: Miranda Kerr

Miranda Kerr, aged 29, is a model, entrepeneur and 'Angel' from Sydney, Australia.
She first gained fame at just 13, when she entered the model search competition for Australian teen magazine, Dolly.
When she was younger, she grew up in the Australian countryside in New South Wales, riding motorbikes on her Grandmother's farm and wearing what she pleased. She states this as being "very grounding", and winning the Dolly competition truly changed her life.

From there, she starred in campaigns for big Aussie brands like Billabong and One Teaspoon, before she made her runway debut in 2004. Other big brands she was shot for were Levis, L.A.M.B and  Betsey Johnson! Wowza!

In 2006, she was set to conquer the States, signing contracts with Maybelline, appearing in her first Victoria's Secret catalogue and appearing in Kanye West's Number One music video. Then she went BIG.

She replaced the fabulous Gisele Bundchen in 2007 at Victoria's Secret, and has walked their elaborate and extravagant catwalks ever since! She is one of the most famous Angels of the lingerie giant. In 2009, she also launched her beauty care range Kora Organics! Busy girl.

To top it all off, she married to THE Orlando Bloom in 2010, and gave birth to their son, Flynn, shortly afterwards. She has also replaced KATE MOSS as the face of Mango! :O
Not to mention, Miranda also has a killer fashion sense, and can always be seen either out in NYC or Sydney in outfits you can only DREAM of owning.

I think she is so successful because of her timeless beauty and cute dimples. She has a 'type of face' that is rarely seen in the modelling world, as it is so young and fresh, unlike some gaunt models with hollow cheekbones you see a lot nowadays.

Can a girl have it all? I guess she can!

We love Miranda!

Model Muse: Gemma Ward

Gemma Ward, age 25, is a fashion model turned actress from Perth, Australia.

She was scouted at the tender age of 14, when she was accompanying her friends to a model search competition, Search For a Supermodel. She was dressed in 'a big, gray barn jacket and was covered in mud, having just returned from her Uncle & Auntie's farm. The scouts weren't interested in her friends though. They wanted her.

When asked if she was interested in taking some tester shots, she initally said 'No, thank you." and kept on walking. Unknown to her, having already noticed her supermodel potential, forged her parents' signature, and thrust her in front of the camera.

In 2003, aged just 15, Gemma made her Australian Fashion Week debut, wowing the anticipated crowds.

At 16, she was featured in prestigious fashion magazine, US Vogue, and had walked for the likes of Vera Wang and Oscar de la Renta

At 17, she beat THE Kate Moss to the job of promoting Calvin Klein's new fragrance. Now that's something.

After being declared as the 'Model of the Moment', and having s hugely successful career throughout 2003 to 2008, Gemma decided to retire from modelling to take up acting, something she had wanted to do for a long time.

She has now had roles in movies such as Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides, The Black Balloon, and is currently filming the big feature film adaption of The Great Gatsby!
I find her beauty very ethical and natural, and she has such an intriguing style, which is essential for any model. Not to mention, Karl Lagerfield has previously declared her as his 'muse'. Wow.

My favourite picture of Gemma Ward is her cover for Numero magazine. I drew this cover for an art project back in July, not knowing who she was, but determined to find out! Here's the picture I drew and the original:

Hope you like it!( Its A3 ,so sorry for the awful quality!)
